Mata started his career in London in 2005 as a European high yield analyst at Pall Mall Investment Management, Brookfield Investment Management and UBS.

In 2013, he returned to Spain to work at JB Capital Markets, where he set up the trading table for European high yield. He holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Granada.
