Álvaro started his career in London in 2005 as an analyst in European High Yield at Pall Mall Investment Management, Brookfield Investment Management, and UBS. In 2013, he returned to Spain to work at JB Capital Markets, setting up the European High Yield Trading desk.

He holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Granada and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
